Launch of Adopt-a-Dorm System

On 22 April 2020, the Alliance of Guest Workers Outreach (AGWO) – a movement of Hope Initiative Alliance – launched the Adopt-a-Dorm system, where companies, NGOs and even individuals are encouraged not only to help with the food and hygiene needs of individual dormitories, but also to care for the workers’ mental and emotional well-being. Of the 279 factory-converted dormitories that AGWO is assisting, 60 have been adopted.
